Meaning: If you're in deep water, you're in some sort of trouble or in a difficult situation.

For example:

• The company's in deep water now that the tax inspectors have decided to check over the accounts. ( 這家公司已陷入困境，而稅務稽查員已經決定檢查公司帳戶。)
• It was easy at first, but we're in deep water now. ( 起先很容易，但現在我們陷入困境。)
